European Commission Joint Research Centre

The Joint Research Centre is the Commission’s science and knowledge service. The JRC employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy. At the JRC in Petten (the Netherlands), scientists work on:

  • Smart energy systems and interoperability
  • Energy infrastructures and security of supply
  • Energy efficiency

  • Testing safety and performance of compressed hydrogen storage tanks and pipelines transporting hydrogen.

Het Gemeenschappelijk Centrum voor Onderzoek is de interne wetenschappelijke dienst van de Commissie. Het ondersteunt de beleidsvorming van de EU met onafhankelijk, goed onderbouwd wetenschappelijk advies.
